A grassy track along the Manawatu River front connects Te Awahou Board Walk at the north end, the Flax Walk and the start of the Piriharakeke Track to the south.
Explore the history and culture of Foxton. Enjoy the children’s play area and idyllic picnic spots by the water, or climb to 11m elevation into Seaview Gardens and take in the panoramic vista. Walk back through town to explore shops, Te Awahou Riverside Cultural Park and Foxton’s historic walk.
Access: Start at the war memorial, head down Main St, into Clyde St, left into Harbour St, up into Seaview Gardens to admire the vista. Elevation in Seaview Gardens is 10.96m. Return back down again through town, or continue to Piriharakeke Walkway.
Note: Unformed track/surface, plus footpaths. Take some extra time to enjoy sightseeing, shopping and the cafes.
