Foxton Mountain Bike Trails at Target Reserve

Target Reserve offers a fun network of flowing singletrack, jumps, and loops just minutes from Foxton township. Whether you’re looking for an easy cruise or a more technical ride, the trails wind through pines and open spaces with something for every rider.

From north, take SH1 towards Foxton. Just past the golf course, look for the entrance marked Foxton Mountain Bike Trails (about 500m before Victoria Road) and follow the signs into the reserve.

The Foxton Mountain Bike Trails at Target Reserve are the newest addition to the Manawatū Mountain Bike Club (MMBC) family. Built by MMBC volunteers in 2024, the park currently features around 6km of sand-based, all-weather singletrack, plus a dedicated mites course for the youngest riders. A mix of flowing forest singletrack, 4WD tracks, and sheltered pine groves makes this a year-round riding destination.

Perfect for families and riders of all levels, the trails stay rideable in winter when other networks are muddy and slick. They’re also home to signature events like the MMBC Winter Race Series, the Foxton Fizzler team relay, and Frocks on Shocks.
